Consultancy support the outsourcing of development drivage for an underground coal mine in order to:
improve flexibility in both development and longwall production times;
increase development drivage;
increase redundancy in development operational roles allowing 24 hours production capacity and double
redundancy for essential statutory ERZ roles to provide stable operations;
de-constrain Longwall operations to deliver an additional coal output and profit;
provide for a single point of accountability for contracted development operations; and
reduce the number of contracted entities and fixed price contracts for each contracted panel.
Consultancy support for the development of the application of the BHP Billiton Project Management Competency Framework for coal operations within BHP Billiton Mitsubishi Alliance (BMA).
Consultancy support to the selection and ongoing assessment of BMA project managers under the BMA Project Management Competency Framework.
Provision of Cert IV and Diploma level training for project staff.
